Pedal power!

My cousin and his girlfriend are bicycling across the country, headed for San Francisco. (We’ve got another cousin there, so they’ll probably have as warm a welcome as they did sendoff.)

They quit their jobs in NYC, moved their stuff to Syracuse (from the sound of it to one of the rooms we just left and our old shed. Glad it could be of use, we hated to leave it behind!) and are now happily biking and blogging away.

Wow!

I’m hoping their luck and the weather both hold for them.

I didn’t hear the news until my husband told me after talking with my aunt and uncle (cousin’s mom and dad) at our housewarming party. They were long gone at that point, so I didn’t get to wish them luck.

I’ve linked to their blog “About a Route”. They’re teachers, of COURSE they’re blogging about the experience! And since they’re both teachers it should be fairly well written. Which is always a nice touch.
